January 1 - New Years Day Apres Wreck Beach Drop -In Party and Jam Session! Open Invitation - 4 -ish to 9 -ish or later!
Alexis Restaurant (2287 W. Broadway between Yew and Vine) is opening its doors just for Wreck Beach people to be able to continue their new year’s partying, dancing, and socializing from the beach in the early afternoon. If the weather is rotten, we could start earlier. Theo and John will have a mixer, amplifiers, speakers, and a mike on their small stage but Wreckers will be able to mix and mingle throughout the entire restaurant which can accommodate about 200 folks. Wine, beer, and highballs will only be $4.50 each and they’re thinking of putting out a Popeye Pizza and Soup combo to warm you after the beach, or you can order the Alexis Supreme pizza (partially includes meats, cheeses, clams, shrimp, and the kitchen sink!), or any of their other scrumptious Greek food! If you know you’re going to try to make it, Judy would appreciate a thumbs up, but it is not necessary…just so we have a rough idea of how many folks are going to drop by for final new years greetings before heading home!
