27th Annual
Wreck Beach Day
July 9th, 2005

While every day is a celebration of Wreck Beach and the spirit of freedom the beach brings to us, we began setting aside one day a year to mark not only International Nude Weekend, but also to pay homage to the beach which we love so much. The battle to keep the beach natural and free has been a long one and really catapulted into high gear, January 25, 1977.

In addition to the sandcastle event, (team captains must be nude) other events include a nude art show, kite-flying, bocci ball, sand croquet, and others. Ribbons are awarded by a team of volunteer judges. Age categories run from one to100! Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. at the foot of Trail #6. Judging will begin at 2:30 p.m. Awards will be at 3:30.
